The Great British Florist won West Midlands Florist of the Year in the 2016 Wedding Industry Awards.
We attended a plush event at Stanbrook Abbey (Near Worcester) hosted by The Wedding Industry Awards – based on votes and feedback from the Judges we were shortlisted for Wedding Florist of the Year in the West Midlands, and we are proud to say that we won! Beating four other wonderful florists, we were ever so proud to be representing Herefordshire and representing Great British flowers!
What makes this even more AMAZING is that this result is all based on votes by our brides! We had to supply your wedding flowers for you to be able to vote - and then that is compared to the total amount of weddings that we supplied in the last year! We received over 90 nominations from brides all over the country over the and some really fantastic comments from brides upon voting for us; Raechel commented that “You were the best supplier we had for our wedding by a long shot!” and Emma and Roger said that “three couples have got engaged and all have asked for your details so we have of course passed on...”.
We were nominated for best Wedding Florist Blog at the Wedding Blog Awards 2015 - Competing nationally with four other fab florist blogs. The awards was based on the judges decision and votes by brides.
Our website was Highly Commended at the 2015 Good Web Awards - run by The Good Web Guide. Our sister company Wiggly Wigglers was shortlisted for Best Website in the Gardening Category!
Winning one category and shortlisted in another, the Brave and the Bold Awards highlight extraordinary business success and high growth excellence.
The Great British Florist and Wiggly Wigglers were chosen out of 200 applicants in 8 categories, chosen by a judging panel of industry professionals such as Stephen Peacock from Growth Accelerator and Anna White of the Telegraph Media Group.
Sponsored by Santander, the award ceremony was held in Mayfair, London on the 5th of June. On the night the winners were selected by host, TV’s Natasha Kaplinski.
We'd also like to congratulate our business coach, the lovely Rachel Carr of Business Checkmate on winning the 'Growth Coach' award.
We were thrilled to win the National Blossom d'Amour Award For Funeral Floristry at The Good Funeral Awards 2013.
Whilst I suppose a Good Funeral Awards could be perceived as a little bit odd (and the trophies were indeed miniature coffins) in actual fact The Good Funeral Guide and the Good Funeral Awards have been set up to celebrate excellence in the funeral industry and that must be a really good thing.
