Christmas at The Talbot Inn

We were so excited to be commissioned to decorate The Talbot Inn at Newnham Bridge for the festive season; why in particular? Well 1) We love any reason to start feeling Christmassy and 2) iI you have yet to go to this beautiful 19th Century Coaching Inn you are in for a treat – think grand windows and warm fires with a mix of contemporary and rustic decoration and charm - the perfect place to get away from it all! It's also received the Dining Pub of the Year as awarded by The Good Pub Guide, and it’s easy to see why...  Here's the menu When you visit you will be greeted by many charismatic and charming individuals ready to make you feel at home, including Barney and Olivia who run this superb pub and who contacted us to arrange some festive decoration. We created a whole collection of bespoke wild and natural products, including giant wreaths, luxurious garlands and decedent centerpieces made by our amazing Kat, Lauren and fantastic flowery team, and which was then sent with the excited Alex and Rob to dress the Talbot ready for December (with Christmas jumpers and Christmas songs mandatory on this festive mission). The wild yet festive theme was perfect for not only the time of year but also the location itself and was a beautiful way to decorate a business by bringing the outside in, cosy yet adventurous which people love and twinned with the beautiful scents of the season – fir and eucalyptus being just a few examples of what we used. Thinking it's all sounding a bit expensive? Fresh flowers can be an extravagance but with these designs we have built them to last the festive period – ensuring hardy materials without losing any quality or aesthetics. Doing things such as using dried flowers and foliage means that most of the design will keep from year to year so if wanted to they can just be freshened up year on year with fresh flowers or foliage. Another handy tip is to leave decorations, such as wreaths, out on the lawn once or twice a month on a dewy night, letting it soak up all that lovely moisture and refreshing your designs! If you need help or would like to order your Christmas Wreaths, Table Centers or Garlands for home or business get in touch by emailing us or go to our website and checkout our Christmas range P.S With Christmas being a season of traditions we have been checking out some traditions from around the world and have taken a fancy to one from the US. It's their ideas on Door Wreaths; It always looks so welcoming to have a Christmas Wreath on the Door and so bare when we take them down in the New Year... And yet those Americans like to stick with it and have Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Door Wreaths, as well as having occasion wreaths.. Easter Wreaths, Halloween Wreaths and even Valentines Day wreaths....  LETS DO IT BRITAIN - it will look FAB!

Just wanted to say thank you so much for the lovely bouquet of flowers that you sent to my daughter today. She's been shielding since February so these made her day. She was delighted that there were no lilies in the flowers as she suffers with hayfever. Thank you - Helen P

Just to say a lovely thank you for the beautiful arrangement of flowers for the funeral sheaf I ordered for my fathers funeral. He was 91 and always interested in the environment and wildflowers. The arrangement was just perfect. Many thanks once again - Magda B

My family arranged for you to deliver flowers for my birthday last Monday and I have to say that they are the best flowers I have ever received! After a week they are still looking amazing and are likely to do so for several days yet. Thank you very much! - Mary B
