Cutting Patch Update - September 2014

Here at the Great British Florist we only use British flowers, we get a fair few shipped from farms all around the country but try to grow a great selection here on the farm. Here is a quick update about how our cutting patch is coming along this autumn. Last year our cutting patch was unfortunately ruined by flooding. Only 3 weeks ago this was a patch of empty land which needed leveling ready for seeding. There is a blog about Graham and his land rotovating on our Wiggly Wigglers Blog. As you can see we have some beautiful Dahlias flowering, although they are mainly red and white we have a few odd yellow and purple varieties. These flowers will be conditioned and make their way into our beautiful British flower arrangements.

We've planted a few hardy varieties that will last over the winter, by next spring a few will have flowered and we can plant the rest of our cutting patch.

We will keep you updated with blog posts in the future.
