Learn from the best! With The GBF Florist School! We hope you had a great Christmas and are ready for a new term of Florist School! The Florist School is a fantastic monthly course to get anyone that is interested in arranging flowers, arranging in no time! The course will begin with the basics of arranging, sourcing flowers and the tools you will need and will progress through simple projects, to more complex and detailed designs. By the end of the year hopefully you will have gained all of the skills needed to produce a whole range of flower arrangements. You don't have to enrol or pay anything to partake in the lessons - just share the blog post with your family and friends if you find them helpful.
Each Lesson will be uploaded as a blog post on the 15th of Each Month. Here is the full lesson plan for the year: Lesson 1: Tools of The Trade Lesson 2: Sourcing Flowers Lesson 3: Make your own Table Decorations Lesson 4: Make your own Classic Bouquet Lesson 5: Make your own Vintage Bouquet Lesson 6: Make your own Table Centre Bouquet Lesson 7: Make your own Bridesmaids Posy Lesson 8: Make your own Bridal Bouquet Lesson 9: Make your own Corsage Lesson 10: Make your own British Buttonhole Lesson 11: Make your own Flower Crown Lesson 12: Make your Flowers Last Longer Each lesson is given a difficulty rating - This rating usually correlates to the time taken on the project, the skills used on the project and the complexity of the arrangement.
The best idea is to work through each of the projects as the difficulty increases because many of your skills used in previous lessons will make the harder lessons easier.
With a great range of Pictures and Video we aim to make it as easy as possible to understand all elements of flower arranging!
