Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Flowers!

Here at the Great British Florists, we've done some pretty unusual things with flowers and get different requests all the time, but until now we've never received a request so, well.... round. For a wedding at a local parish we were asked to produce some hanging balls of flowers, 360 degree arrangements, to look stunning from any angle. Our floristry team created these beautiful British Flower AMAZE-Balls, to be hung from the ceiling of the church, suspended above the ceremony below. The interior was created by Heather and the outside was dressed by Jan The Flower and Katrina, our floristry ladies. They contain a great selection of British Flowers including;
  • Lanus Gladioli
  • Feverfew
  • Gypsophilia
  • Nigella
  • Larkpur
  • Scabious
  • Brodea
  • Phlox
  • Lavendar
From this;                                                              To this; On Saturday morning the whole GBF team assembled at Bredwardine Church to hang the balls from chains on the ceiling, using a multitude of ladders, various ropes and knots-a-plenty. Once they were hung Jan re-dressed them to ensure they look spectacular all over. Our lovely Katrina documented their creation with number of photos viewable in the gallery below (Including the post set-up celebration!) ; As I'm sure you'll agree, they look absolutely stunning! A great way to add an extra splash of colour into the ceremony, perfect for any beautiful natural countryside weddings. If you would love to have some similar British Flower Balls at your Wedding or Event we will be really pleased to make them for you. They weigh a maximum of 15 kilos each and are approximately 1 metre diameter.
