Flowers for Birthdays
For a Birthday it really is the thought that counts…
To us the thought that you put into a gift of flowers needn’t be the type or the colour, it can be so much more than that. In fact when you order a Great British Flower box of blooms that thinking is already done for you. We send the freshest blooms in our floristry on the day… We promise they will always be beautiful, to full value and fresh as a daisy.
So, what’s left for you to think about?
You will write the card message, and you’ll choose the type of arrangement – that’s for sure. It will take a moment or two… but really we’d like you to think more about the flowers and where they’ve come from.
At the moment only around 10% of the flowers sold here in the UK are actually grown here (!) and bearing in mind we are a nation of gardeners this seems pretty potty to us (even putting aside the flower miles and implications of flying fresh flowers halfway around the World) so wherever we can we use British Grown Blooms. In fact in ALL our fresh flower boxes and arrangements we use at least 10 UK grown stems of flowers and/or foliage (and usually MANY MANY more). This means you will be joining us on our mission to LOVE British Blooms and encourage more UK flower farmers. After all the Birds, Bugs, Bees and Butterflies will also appreciate a homegrown bloom.
You’ll know which type of arrangement you would like to send by thinking about the person who will receive them. If your friend or loved one would like to put together their own displays and spread the flower love in several vases around their home – choose a Box of Cut Flowers… When you know they would love a perfect posy made up from the sweetest blooms choose a posy (there’s a 100% British Grown option here as well), and when you really need a WOW – there’s just one choice - and that’s a bouquet of one sort or another…
Don’t forget – it’s the thought that counts – so:
- We use the flowers that come into our floristry on the day – meaning they are the freshest blooms possible.
- Because our bunches are based on seasonality and availability rather than type or colour there is absolutely NO flower waste.
- Sending locally grown flowers is good for you, and really good for nature.
Scented, natural, seasonal blooms that look delightful and will always send a Brighter Day.
