Dried Jam Jar Posy - The Whitney Wedding Collection
Please note: We despatch flowers Mon-Fri which means you can now choose which day your flowers arrive between Tues-Sat. Order early for next day as flowers and delivery slots are limited. Thank you. Team GBF
These muted blues, lavender and ice colours are perfect when you don’t want any hint of a Barbie style wedding :) They are lovely all year round but imagine them at your winter wedding… When we can we include larkspur, lavender, and dried dumosa. The florists hand-make each arrangement and so no two are ever the same but of course, they keep to the feel and the theme. It’s a good idea to order dried wedding flowers at least 2 weeks before your wedding day.
Whether you love the retro feel of these flowers or want blooms that last, the lovely thing is that compared to a standard fresh option they offer really good value AND they last for ages! Perfect for a no hassle wedding or if your wedding is overseas!
Our Dried Flower Posies are arranged on our farm in the heart of Herefordshire and sent via courier next-day nationwide. (Excluding Highlands, Islands and others) Please keep dried flowers away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place and in the packaging provided.
We have named our dried flower collections after Herefordshire Villages which we hope you might enjoy visiting at some time soon. Whitney-on-Wye was first mentioned in the Domesday Book with the spelling Witenie. The most plausible meaning for the name is White Water, which makes sense as the River Wye runs right through it.
During the Captain Swing riot movement of 1830, Whitney was a site in Herefordshire for protest by the dispossessed farm labourers who threatened arson and machine breaking to try to obtain a living wage. On 17 November 1830, Henry Williams, a ‘ranting’ preacher and journeyman tailor wrote a threatening letter to a large farmer citing the fires that had been set in the barns of those who had ignored the poor in the county of Kent. For his pains he was sentenced to transportation to New South Wales…
